Little Dragons (3 – 5 years old)
Little Dragons classes are held every weekday from 3:30pm to 4:00pm and Saturday mornings at 9am. Little Dragons can enrol from 3 years old and the program incorporates a basic level curriculum with lots of variety that is designed to increase gross motor skills and co-ordination. These classes focus on improving focus and self-control and basic self-defence techniques taught in a fun and safe environment. There is a large emphasis on listening and following instructions which are important elements at this stage of learning. Classes are fun and interactive and designed to help your child gain confidence.
Panthers (6 – 8 years old)
Panthers classes are held every weekday from 4:00pm – 5:00pm and Saturday mornings at 9:30am. Depending on the level of tuition chosen, students can train up to three times a week. This age group covers more structured fitness routines, and basic self-defence techniques. There is a large emphasis on our core Nexus values of discipline, respect, teamwork, integrity and self-control. All students work on a curriculum based around self-defence techniques and improving confidence. Panthers classes are designed to challenge our students to reach their full potential in all aspects of their life. As this is the age group that has the highest bullying issues we also spend some time focusing on practical strategies to deal with bullying.
Cobras (9 – 12 years old)
Cobras classes are held every weekday from 5:00pm to 6:00pm and Saturday mornings at 10:30am. Depending on the level of tuition chosen, students can train up to three times a week. The Cobras train in a wide variety of martial arts techniques, all aimed at improving physical fitness and self-defence, whilst reinforcing life skills being taught at home and at school. There is a large emphasis on our core Nexus values of discipline, respect, teamwork, integrity and self-control.
Junior Adult (13 – 17 year olds)
Our Junior Adults class is based around our adult curriculum with a focus on improving fitness and development of high level Martial Arts and self-defence Skills to prepare these young adults for the challenges that they may face in today’s society. The class incorporates Boxing, Kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu ground skills and sparring.
